GO Telecom Signs MoU with Syrian Ministry of Communications to Accelerate Digital Transformation and Enable AI Adoption

In the presence of H.E. Mr. Abdessalam Haykal, Syrian Minister of Communications and Technology, and Mr. Yahya bin Saleh Al Mansour, CEO of GO Telecom, the company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Damascus with the Syrian Ministry of Communications and Technology to provide integrated digital solutions that support the country’s digital transformation journey.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Mohammed bin Mansour Karahan, Chief Business Officer at GO Telecom, and Mr. Alaa Hamzawi, Advisor to the Minister of Communications in Syria.

This collaboration comes as part of GO Telecom’s regional expansion strategy, aimed at strengthening its presence in Arab markets as a leading provider of telecommunications and ICT solutions, including digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT).

The agreement outlines cooperation in multiple strategic areas, notably the development of government digital solutions, the establishment of a national data center, and the adoption of emerging technologies such as AI and IoT. It also includes the enhancement of Syria’s digital infrastructure, the provision of advanced cloud computing services, cybersecurity support, and the development of unified digital platforms based on global best practices—all aimed at accelerating Syria’s digital transformation and building a more connected and technology-driven future.

Commenting on the signing, Mr. Yahya bin Saleh Al Mansour, CEO of GO Telecom, said:
